Sažetak
This paper explored the past, present, and future of accessibility issues, with regard to online journals and with regard to the changing perspective after a year's time. We will begin with a look at the origins of the Internet and its value to the disabled ; discuss methods of making web pages accessible today ; and discuss the future of the web with regard to accessibility .Additionally, we will present both the standards of accessibility as requested by the ADA and an additional set that disabled users would prefer as best filling their needs. A handout will be available with specific directions for adding accessibility features to web journals. It is important for online journal editors to be aware of how to make their sites accessible and to see to it that this is carried out. It is equally important to examine new technologies as they appear on the horizon and to be prepared to accept them or modify them depending on the degree to which they are accessible.
