Sažetak
The purpose of this study is to detennine the extent to which inservice special education teachers are using special education technology alld are implementing the Internet when working with students with special needs. In addition, the purpose of the study is to gain an understanding of the classroom power relations when using special education technology, especially how special education teachers perceptions about classroom knowledge, changes in relation to technology implementation. The area of research interest includes types of training and inservice support that special education teachers receive and find useful for implementation of special education technology and integration of the Internet in their instruction. Also, the intent is to detennine some of the personal and professional influences on teachers' perceptions of students' use of special education technology. With regards to the generalizability ofresearch findings that are based on descriptive data, a series of case studies do allow generalizations to take place. Furthennore, the findings of this study may not be generalizible in the experimental sense, but they can guide educators towards building educational programs based on student strengths.
