Sažetak
Pestiviruses from the family Flaviridae cause svere infections in domestic animals inculding clasical swine fever (CSF), bovine viral diarrhoea (BVD) and border disease (BD). Pestiviruses are antigenically closely related and display a virtually identical genome structure and orginisation (2). The host range of pestiviruses includes most even toed ungulates. in the Reublic of Croatia the biggest efforts are given to the eradication and survellance program of classical swine fever. The program includes continuous vaccination of swine against classical swine fever and control of the developed immune response.
The aim of this work was to screen the situation in large swine breeding farins of the immune response after vaccination against classical swine fever using commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) and compare with the results of antibody detection for BVD virus.
