Sažetak
Aim:to investigate the prevalence of A.a., P.g., P.i., T.f. and T.d. in generalized chronic and aggressive periodontitis patients.Materials and methods: Seventy-four patients were divided in two groups:(i)generalized chronic periodontitis (CP, n=39) and(ii)generalized aggressive periodontitis (GAgP, n=34). One examiner (D.B.)using a standard periodontal probe recorded at four sited per tooth bleeding on probing (BOP), probing pocket depth (PPD) and clinical attachment level (CAL)values. Four subgingival plaque samples were collected from the deepest pockets in each quadrant. Microbilogical testing was done utilizing the multiplex PCR of 16srDNA followed by a simultaneous reverse hybridization to indentify five periodontal pathogens in a single run. Results: Our results show that the isolation frequency of pathogens in the CP group A.a. 23%, P.g. 87.17%, P.i.51%, T.f. 92% and T.d. 72%, and for the GAgP A.a.40%, P.g. 71%, P.i.48.5%, T.f.85.7% and T.d. 77%. conclusion. We could not find any differences between the groups except for A.a.. It seems that the main pathogens in our population are the red complex bacteria with T.f. being the most frequent.
