Sažetak
The structure of ship organization of modern vessels is not fully in accordance with ship tehnology and ship commercial exploitation. Technological solutions in terms of optimization of economic parameters of sea transportation have overcome the traditional ship organization of the 19th and 20th centuries. From this aspect, the paper focuses on the evaluation of different quality attributes of organizational components. These components common for ship organization are: coordination, common goal, work evaluation, and hierarchy of authority. The pape ris based on the conjoint analysis of all these components which are basically described and the relation between the inside elements of ship organization highlighted. The components mentioned also evaluate the relationship between ship organization and shore based Company organization. According to this relationship, the paper deals partly with the types of organizational structure of shore-based Company organization and how they can influence the management of ship organization in relation to the ship s master and crew. The paper shows structural difference and resemblance between the ship and shore-based Company organization in terms of heterogeneous preferences.
