Sažetak
Based on the numerous plant production experiment data it is clear that yield level is determined by soil nutrients amount whereby nutrients loss caused by harvest is mainly less compared to added fertilizers since fertilization efficiency and profitability is often unsatisfactory. The above requires better understanding of nutrients dynamics and availability as well as fertilizers application in consonant with biological, economical and ecological conditions. Rational food production means fertilizer amount meeting requirements of plants crop condition, soil fertility taking into account climatic conditions and possible crop yield and quality. A post-wheat harvest tilth model of 24 ha intended for sugar beet production was designed in agro-ecological conditions of Baranya ( Belje station, the Republic of Croatia appended by scheme 1 and 2). The researches were conducted in sugar beet production by using increasing doses of fertilizers (urea 46%, KAN 27% and NPK), manures – pig dung in combination with and without post-harvest fertilization – green manure (oil radish). Ecological indicators, nitrogen leaching and others were recorded by filtering water in lysimeters (10 pieces), ground water analysis from piesometers (2 pieces) and surface water analysis from land reclamated canals. Plant - nutritive indicators were determined by soil and plant material analysis in the important phenophases. At the same time soil moisture level and mineral nitrogen (N min) ratio were determined in the depth profile at 0-30, 30-60 and 60-90 cm. The researches aimed to harmonize high sugar beet root yield and quality with and without fertilizers as well as determine soil and water contamination. The paper is provided with results indicating possible more efficient approach in using manures, fertilizers and green manure in crop production, soil and water management completion as well as achievement of biologically healthier food that will be economically approved without ecologically harmful environment implication.
