Sažetak
The aim of the research was to compare the rate of water release during the process of drying the samples grown at the amelioration test field with various types of pipe drainage. All research was conducted on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and corn (Zea mays L.) samples, grown on fields with seven different types of drainage systems. Examination of the wheat and corn samples were conducted under approximately equal conditions for wheat and corn (air temperature at the entrance to the dryer and the air velocity at the exit of the dryer, as well as approximately equal environmental conditions). Mathematical approximations of drying curves were calculated for every sample. Based on soil humidity measurement data (to the soil depth of 60 cm), acquired by means of gravitational method in the period of vegetation, it is clear that the most favorable humidity occurred on soil with drainage type A3-1 (clearances of drainage pipes being 25 meters, gravel used), with both cultures. The yield gained also shows that the most favorable drainage type is A3-1. The process of drying the kernel to the storage humidity value took the shortest time in the type A3-1. The results of this investigation can be used for selecting systems of drainage in dealing with excess water on hydromorphic soil types.
