Sažetak
The paper analyses the results of transition in the Croatian economy. Non-economic reasons (aggression and a four-year war) significantly influenced the economic achievements of Croatia in the recent past. Despite which, based on economic liberalization, Croatia belongs to the group of advanced reformers. It has the best transition results in the stability of prices but among the lowest ones materialised in the rates of GDP growth. Also, issues that still remain open are high unemployment, the large government expenditure, the foreign trade deficit, the low accumulation, the economy’s critical financial situation, the lack of enterpreneurship, and the efficient finalization of privatization.
