Sažetak
There are 100 years passed and knowledge after the father of „ Allergy“ Clemens von Pirquet (1906). His scientific results of experimental work on sensitivity in immunisate organisms and thoughts if there are immunity and hypersensitivity connected, or there are separate processes in which the immunity is caused by foregoing treatment.Allergy had big development in past 100 years.In Europe more than 40% of people had at least one allergic disease. Thatsway, it is very important nowadays to use primary, secondary and tertiary prevention. The European Allergy Congress (June 10-15, 2006) has proven the success of the Viennese allergology. Hypothesis for explanation of increased allergy are genetic proposition, better diagnosis, psychosocial aspects, hygiene, therapy, deficit of tolerability, etc. In von Pirquet’ s definition, also specifically decreased immunologic reactivity was included, which is no longer the case today. The term “ allergy” was rapidly and international accepted in various ways. However, hypersensitivity through specific immune reactions leads to disease. Clemens von Pirquet described specifically altered immunologic reactivity on the basis of a clinical and experimental research in the 20th century. “ Allergology” became interdisciplinary character in most countries as clinical discipline with physiologic and pathologic immune reactions understanding.
