Sažetak
The paper is a critique of veritism, the evaluative position in social epistemology, defended by A.I. Goldman, based on a dual set of values: on the one side, on the assumption that truth is the ultimate value in the evaluation of social institutions ; and on the other side, on new, particularly social standards. My critique is focused on the tension between the postulated goal of truth and the requirement of social evaluation.
