Sažetak
This paper explores the possibility of creating a fully interactive and comprehensive solutions that use web as a medium, ASP technology and Windows 2000 server as infrastructure, Access or SQL Server database and a standard Web browser (browser) as a client. ASP technology is used to create a server side script/application, MS Access database, MS Jet engine to access the database, Windows Server 2000 as operating system and related services (IIS, FTP, WWW, SMTP, file server, database server). Developed ASP application, support WAP and SMS communication, is closely connected with associated services (such as a forum for knowledge sharing system and infrastructure for the development of further projects). Paper describe acquired experiences in server technology and infrastructure, protection systems, user management, networking, etc. Developed solution can be easily implemented in other fields for different user profile (for the whole university system, application in librarianship, academic institutions, business environment (small and medium businesses) and government, etc.)
