Sažetak
The biological aspects and pharmacological significance of combined treatment of 6-BrAA and cis-DDP in mice model are investigated. The results indicate that effectivenes of 6-BrAA on biological responses is sharply dependent on the dose of cis-DDP. The occulation with lower dose of cis-DDP and pretreartment with 6-BrAA contribute to the tissue protecting effect of modulating agent reducing in some extent the ensuring nephro-, liver, -and spleen-toxicity. On the other word, 6-BrAA in animals treated with higher dose of cis-DDP leads to exacerbation of the toxic cis-DDP effect and concurent loss of protective potential of 6-BrAA toward tissue damage. Since lipid peroxidation could not be inhibited by 6-BrAA it seems that there could be more than one mechanism of high cis-DDP induced toxicity and that radical formation is secondary to the primary disease process. Results obtained may be of importance in planning the ratinal use of cis-DDP and 6-BrAA administration in the potential treatment of cancer.
