Sažetak
Cta Dermatovenerologica Croatica (ADC) is a non-profitable journal owned by the Croatian Dermatovenerological Society (CDS). When I took office of ADC as Editor-in-Chief in 1997, little did I imagine how rich, exciting and exhausting this experience would be. It has been a wonderful opportunity to work closely with colleagues from different countries and other dermatological organizations. I have had the privilege to work on issues that are very important for our publishing (History of Croatian Dermatovenerological Society, The life of great dermatovenerological leader, Prof. Jakac, about Referral Centers in University Department of Dermatology and Venerology Zagreb, etc.). I would like to offer my thanks to some of key individuals from Editorial Board who have diligently volunteered their time and expertise for ADC Among them are certainly Professors R. A. Schwartz, R. Wolf, J. Szepietowski, F. Gruber, K. Holubar. I would also thank our Editor B. Marinović throughout this last 9 years I have worked tireless on behalf of our Journal ADC. I also say thank to Mrs. Dučkić who served as technical Editorial Assistant. ADC will in the future be enhanced because the Journal will be free to move at open available electronic publication. Furthermore, a copy of the published journal articles in an e-print repository on website. We believe that we will also have further increase the impact of the research published in our Journal (the impact factor of ADC for 2003 was 0, 15 and now is for 2004 in counting, we hope increased. More information about ADC can be found at http://adc.mef.hr . ADC demonstrated its commitment to being inclusive of most of European dermatology participants in Education program. We think these encouraged friendships, clinical and scientific collaborations.
