Sažetak
In the last decade FUMACS Code Package (an acronym of FUel MAnagement Code System) has been continuously improved due to the ongoing demands for in-core fuel management analysis of the NPP Krško core. From the first version developed at “ Ruđer Bošković” Institute in year 1991 with no graphical user interface implemented, code package has raised into respectable application with advanced capabilities for in-core fuel management analysis. The new 2005 version of the code package is very easy to use with the main advantage of no time-intensive calculational routines, making the code suitable for the first estimate global calculations needed for loading pattern development. The new added graphical user interface (GUI) options and code enhancements in error handling GUI procedures make code package user friendly and stable in operating environment of Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows XP platforms. Implementation of the burnable absorber depletion modeling extended calculational capabilities of the code package with feature for core modeling with different integral fuel burnable absorber loadings containing enriched boron. New options and features have been verified and validated on core loading pattern of NPP Krško 21 operating cycle. Modular structure makes FUMACS code package suitable for future implementation of the new calculational modules intended to be used with new fuel generation in NPP Krško core.
