Sažetak
Network security is one of the components in computer networks that changes rapidly, thence a protection of data and network resources is of crucial interest. One of the major problems of IPv4 protocol was the security. A new network protocol IPv6 was designed to improve the communication and network security. Unlike the IPv4 the IPv6 security is built in protocol itself. To enable efficient IPv4/IPv6 transition we have to use the tunnelling tools as well as a dual stack configuration. The transition itself opens a lot of security threats ; mainly DDoS attacks on IPv4 and IPv6. A major problem by transition process is that IPv4 networks do not detect the encapsulation of IPv6 traffic inside the IPv4 packet. This paper analyses the tools for IPv4/IPv6 traffic tunnelling. The available tools were tested and security aspects were analysed (8 References).
