Sažetak
The stress distribution around the crack-tip depends upon the mechanical properties of the mechanically orthotropic materials. The presented analysis of the shapes of caustics for mode I crack opening shows the influence of mechanical characteristics and the crack orientation on the shape of caustic curve. The solution cannot be given in the general form and the calculation is necessary for each material separately as the condition for the proper interpretation of the experimental results.
