Sažetak
In the present contribution, an analytical method for the determination of Cerium in alloyed and unalloyed steels is described. Cerium is precipitated as oxalate at the collector. Using well-known methods, a proper compact for X-ray fluorescence analysis measurement can be prepared after filtering out and drying. Calibration and measuring conditions are dealt with, and results of investigations of different samples and methods are demonstrated. Te method is suitable for Cerium contents from about 0.005%. Concentrations until about 0.4% would be ascertained ; higher concentrations are determinable if the calibration series is modified by changed Cerium additions.
