Sažetak
Evidence has been accumulated indicating that fetal and newborn spleen and liver cells play an immunoregulatory role. The present study was aimed to test the immunoregulatory potential of fetal and neonatal spleen and liver cells in the response of mature cells to polyclonal mitogens and in the mixed lymphocytes reaction. The results indicate that fetal liver cells added to syngeneic adult cells increase their proliferative response to mitogens. From these experiments, we have concluded that fetal spleena nad liver cells can interfere with the immunological function of adult lymphoid cells.
