Sažetak
Several mechanisms have been proposed to explain the prevention of a potential transplantation rejection reaction towards paternal alloantigens of the conceptus by the mother. This work was designed to examine whether modifications in the immune response exist during pregnancy. The immune reactivity in lymphoid organs of pregnant rats was studied. The response of spleeen cells to PHA was decreased both in ispopregnant and allopregnant females. In the MLR we also noticed a decrease, but not statistically significant, in the response of spleen cells from allopregnant femals when compared to that of virgin and isporegnant ones.
