Sažetak
The objective of this study is to examine the correlation between the level of conceptual maturity of juvenile delinquents and the appropriateness of juvenile court educational measures imposed on them. To this purpose an empirical study was conducted on a sample of 562 juvenile delinquents in the Republic of Croatia, who underwent a juvenile court educational measure at the time of the time of the study. The tested hypothesis assumed that there is a statistically significant difference in the assessment of the appropriateness of a juvenile court educational measure in respect of its adjustment to the conceptual level of juvenile delinquents. It has turned out that juveniles, classified according to the criteria of the adjustment of the juvenile court educational measure to their conceptual maturity, assess the appropriateness of the measure with a significant statistical difference in the following aspects: development of responsible behavior, self-acceptance, development of cooperative and friendly relations and respect for the law. To conclude, a classification of juvenile delinquents according to the their conceptual level, in the sense of the selection of an adequate juvenile court educational measure, makes sense and should be taken into account in the diagnostic procedure.
