Sažetak
It is known that C-nitroso compounds undergo photochromic effect in the solid state under cryogenic conditions. Therefore, such chemical systems can bee used as chemical ″ off-on″ switch in the development of intelligent materials. In this work we describe photodimerization of the simple substituted nitrosobenzenes in SDS micelles in water at the room temperature. Additionally, it was observed that conversion of 4-nitrosoazobenzene monomer to the corresponding dimer can be induced by high pressure. Such a piezochromic effect was studied by FT-IR, Raman, UV, and X-ray diffraction methods.
