Sažetak
A great deal of slag from the blast furnace is used in civil engineering as admixture to cements. In order to determine the quality of the slag, its influence on the cement and on the environment, its chemical and radiochemical properties have been defined. Reactions between slag and different media where the slag is used as engineering material have also been studied. The slag is used in the contact with a serias of anions ((F(-), Cl(-), Br(-), NO3(-), NO2(-) and SO4(2-) of various concentrations in the period from 1 hour to 60 days. The anions were determined by means of ion chromatographic analysis modified from different relations of anions in the eluate. The apparatus used was a 690 Ion Chromatograph (Metrohm) with IC Anion Column Super Sep. The optimum fluoride determination was determined experimentally. The flow is 1.5 ml dm-3, the pressure is 20 bar (valid for the column alone). The column and the precolumn are filled with phtalic acid eluent. The concentrations were 1.5 M, 2.0 M, 2.5 M and 3.0 M with pH correction of 3 to 5. The chromatograms were treated on a C-R5A Chromotopac by means of two methods. The calibration by standard addition and the calibration with external standard were used. The results of the elution point to the inertness of the slag with fluoride. The fluoride forms a bond with the slag, and the factors of the fluoride saturation of the system are experimentally determined by means of IC.
