Sažetak
The educational process is implemented, both directly and indirectly by numerous factors and a number of institutions. One of the institutions is (also) the school. In great number of schools still dominate traditional forms and methods of work. Contemporary school puts in focus the pupil, his needs, his abilities and interests. The tendency of the &laquo ; New School&raquo ; relates to realization of tasks, grouping of educational influences and repositioning of the school itself in order to occupy a more significant and adequate position in a society. The new school prepares its students for real life, it teaches them about commitment, it stimulates their curiosity, develops their creativity, thus making them ready to face the competitive labour market. This treatise conveys the relation of the traditional school compared to the &laquo ; new school&raquo ; , including the teacher prepared for the &laquo ; new school&raquo ; . The importance of motivation incentivated by prizes ( declarations of merit), the importance of communicational process and application of IT-communicational technologies within the educational process present only an essential step in transformation of a school into an oasis which contain no inferior students.
