Sažetak
The purpose of this project was to establish and evaluate the effectiveness of three different programs currently being implemented for 25 children from ages 3-18 with a diagnosis of Autism Specrum Disorder. The programs, initiated in September 2004, use one of the following procedures: a) Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach functional behavior ; Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) to teach communication skills c) TEACCH to improve social cognition. Data is being collected on a daily basis and is evaluated at six month intervals. We are now at the mid point in this study and ongoing data will be presented at the Poster Session.
