Sažetak
Several investigators proposed that synchronization of neural activity could encode important sensory information. We reviewed psychophyisical, neurophysiological and mathematical arguments for and against neural synchronization as a mechanism of perception. It is concluded that evidence obtained thus far is contradictory and provide only partial support for this hypothesis.
