Sažetak
Human-computer interaction stresses the importance of good user interfaces and the relationship of interface design to effective human interaction with interactive computer systems. Recent reports estimate that over half the total cost of new interactive computer systems can be attributed to the user interface. Although computer science curriculum studies have established human-computer interaction as one of computer science subfields, it is rarely included in traditional computer science teaching. In such circumstances it could not be expected that everyday programmers design usable interfaces as well as produce good code. The challenge is not only to teach students the importance of user interfaces and the relationship of interface design to effective and usable human interaction with computers, but to give them skills that they could use in a real-life work environment unfamiliar with the idea of usability engineering.
