Sažetak
The paper presents the architectural analysis of current IP over WDM and an emerging alternative architectur, referred to as IP over optical transport network (OTN). These two architectures are compared from the standpoints of scalability, flexibility, and robustnes. The paper also includes traffic grooming deployment at the optical layer in IP over OTN architecture, which could lead to minimization of lightpaths number.
