Sažetak
Antibiotics and sulphonamides play an important role in the therapy of bacterial diseases, primarily mastitis, intestinal infections and pneumonia, but they are also used as feed additives. A negative aspect of antimicrobial therapy in dairy cows is their residues in milk and milk products. The use of medicinal products in veterinary medicine is constantly increasing, and concomitantly also various disturbances in technological processes of production of milk products. Last but not least important are their harmful effects in relation to the development of resistant strains, sensitisation or allergies, and other adverse effects on human health. The aim of this assay was to determine the residues in milk in relation to permissible levels according to the regulations in force in the Republic of Croatia. Laboratory test LabSULFAmilk of the manufacturer Frank analab Ltd. was used for determination of sulphonamide residue levels. Analysis of other residues was made by SNAP Image tests (beta-lactam, tetracycline, aflatoxin and gentamicin test kits) and SNAP Image reader. Samples of cow’ s milk (n=30), taken at the milk collection station and originating from different individual producers, were used for determination of residues in milk. In 10% of analysed samples a positive reaction to sulphonamide residues was found, and all samples were negative to other examined residues
