Sažetak
It is proved that the Cartesian product of the dyadic solenoid and the wedge of a sequence of 1-spheres is not a product in the category of shape. This shows that the Cartesian product of a metric continuum and a polyhedron (noncompact) need not be a product in the shape category of topological spaces.
