Sažetak
We present dc and ac susceptibility measurements of the CexLa1-xPt (x = 0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.0) alloy system. From the established magnetic phase diagram, we conclude that the ferromagnetically ordered phase appears at about x = 0.15. Plotting the dc susceptibility data as A + C/(T - θ ), we find that θ is almost independent on concentration and, most interestingly, is approximately -25 K for T >100 K. Our interest is to understand why in spite of the negative θ the system orders ferromagnetically. This is especially curious because ferromagnetic ground states are seldom observed for the Ce3+ ion. Ac susceptibility data suggest that the magnetic phase diagram is rather complex below the ferromagnetic ordering temperature.
