Sažetak
The aim of the present study was to examine the structure of self-reported current affect using a list of emotion terms. A comprehensive dictionary-based list of 83 Croatian words denoting the domain of emotional experience was constructed. The emotions list was administered to 410 psychology students and students from Faculty of special education and rehabilitation, who rated their feelings at a given moment. The obtained self– ratings were factor analyzed and a two dimensional solution emerged. These two dimensions reflect the positive and negative aspects of affect. As a result of this procedure a new Croatian measure of self– rated momentary affect was developed. The results are discussed in the light of recent theoretical and empirical developments in affects’ structure research.
