Sažetak
Thermal and electrical conductivity measurements of the newly synthesized quasi-one-dimensional crystal Nb4Te17I4 are reported in the temperature range 25K-340K. Electrical conductivity confirms its pseudo-one-dimensional character, while thermal conductivity indicates lattice heat transport in this polytelluride. Electrical conductivity shows a semiconducting behavior at room temperature, with a 3500K activation energy. Thermal conductivity shows a "crystalline-like" behavior. It obeys an exponential law, at the temperatures below Debye temperature, in agreement with theory which takes into account the umklapp scattering for the thermal transport.
