Sažetak
Due to beneficial physiological and metabolic effects of high intake of dietary fibers (DF) on human health, the purpose of our work was to evaluate share of total dietary fibers (TDF) and different classes of insoluble dietary fibers, such as neutral detergent fibers (NDF) and acid detergent fibers (ADF) in wheat flour based fiber rich biscuits, experimentally prepared with the goal to be a functional food. Share of total dietary fiber ranged from 9.72 g to 20.78 g/100g, ADF from 0.88 g to 9.01 g/100g and NDF from 5.15 g to 19.74 g/100g of biscuit, respectively. Considering dietary recommendations (DRI) for dietary fibers intake (on an average 30 g/day per adult person), 100 g of examined biscuits can satisfy approximately 30 % up to 70 % of daily needs of adult person.
