Sažetak
In this study three tufa sites and associated spring waters are investigated in Denizli province, Western Turkey: Güney, Sakizcilar and Honaz sites. The filed measurements of temperature, electrical conductivity and pH values of spring waters in the Güney waterfall, Darideresi Creek and Kayaalti-Degirmenler sites are 18.5-12.5-18.6°C, 480-426-719 µ ; ; ; S/cm and 7.35-7.99-7.14, respectively. Water type of the first two sites is of Ca-HCO3 and in the Kayaalti-Degirmenler is of Ca-HCO3-SO4 type. pH values of waters increase downstream to 8-8.2 and concentrations of CO2, Ca and Mg decrease. Isotope analyses of 14C activity and δ 13C and δ 18O values of 21 tufa samples (passive and recent) showed two groups of tufa in the investigated area: 1) Honaz site with low 14C activity of recent tufa (app. 20 pMC) and  13C from -8.07 to 3.45‰ , 2) Güney and Sakizcilar area with 14C activity of 60-70 pMC and  13C from -9.61 to -5.69‰ .
