Sažetak
The regulations of traffic noise as a significant environmental pollutant are poor and inadequate in Croatia. Therefore the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Physical Planning gave rise for elaboration of guidelines for estimation of noise level and protection measures. The aim is to bridge the gap until the adoption of a uniform European Union Standards. The paper shows the current state of Croatian regulations and standards for road traffic noise, as well as recommendations for designing guidelines based on domestic experience and suggestions of other European countries recommendations.
