Sažetak
Rijeka (NW Croatia) is a city that based its development on strategic position and industrial growth. Shipbuilding industry, port facilities and shipping companies soon became main distinctiveness of this city. With the tourism development, especially diving and other sea oriented activities, some new medical problems occurred. Establishment of the first medical school in this part of country in mid fifties of twentieth century set foundations to development of see related medical knowledge and skills. Aim of this research was to determine whether there is disproportion between student interest and educational programs offered in Rijeka University School of Medicine.
