Sažetak
Background and purpose: The main purpose of these researches was to determine whether there are significant differences between the researched populations (Rijeka, Gorski kotar, Cesargradska gora, Papuk) of Aristolochia lutea Desf., while one population of A. pallida (Samoborsko gorje) has been analyzed as the control. This analysis included the leaf and flower properties which during the previous researches proved to give good results in the morphometric analysis of specific variability of the genus Aristolochia. Material and methods: The material for analyis originates from four populations of A. lutea (Rijeka, Gorski kotar, Cesargradska gora, Papuk) and one population of A. pallida (Samoborsko gorje) in Croatia. The material was collected during the flowering time in 1994 and 1996. Four leaft properties - the leaf blade length (Llo), the leaf blade width (Lla), the petiole length (Lp), the sinus length (Ls) as well as two flower properties - the ligule length (L) and the tube length (T) have been measured, and from the measured leaf and flower properties another two propertes - the Llo/Lp-index and the L/T-index have been derived. For the statistical analysis of the leaf and flower properties, the standard statistical methods have been used (calculation of x, sx, C.V., xmin-xmax, Kurtosis, Skewness, ux-test, us-test, frequency distribution graphs). Results: By arithmetical mean (the ux-test) and standard deviation (the us-test) tests concerning leaf and flower properties in the researched populations of both species significant differences between the researched species and between the populations of A. lutea have been determined. The comparison of four populations of A. lutea and the population of A. pallida shows significant differences for 3-7 out of 8 researched properties. Conclusion: Based on the preliminary researches, detailed morphometric researches of the leaf and flower properties for A. lutea and A. pallida have been made. From the results of statistical analysis it is visible that there are differences on the interspecific (A. lutea : A. pallida) and the intraspecific levels (between the continental and littoral populations as well as inside the continental populations). The differences on the interspecific level are much higher than those on the intraspecific level (between the populations of A. lutea).
