Sažetak
A meshless computational method based on the local Petrov-Galerkin approach for analysis of plate and shell structures is presented. A concept of a 3D solid, allowing the use of complete 3D constitutive models is applied. Discretization is carried out by using both moving least squares approximation and polynomial functions. The exact shell geometry description can be performed. The shear locking phenomena in the case of thin structures and the sensitivity to rigid body motion are minimized by applying the interpolation functions of sufficiently high order.
