Sažetak
Cro dian+b net is a software developed in accordance with world quality standards (St Vincent declaration for quality assurance). It automatically extracts data for national diabetes patient database, a core for dinamoic registry. Potentialy, its use could improve not only quality of data, but patient's regulation. This report is an evidence of such an improvement. The central database is updated every six months. The last analysis included data on 36406 persons with diabetes treated in 11 counties throughout the country. The results indicate further improvement in data aviability (2003 vs. 2001 ; BMI 88% vs. 77% ; BP 61 vs.39% ; albuminuria 22% vs. 14%, fundoscopy 35% vs. 34%). There is also an imoprovement in patient regulation: a sratisticaly significant decrease in A1c is present in both type 1 (in 2001 17% had A1c <6.5% ; 19% 6.5-7.5, in 2003 23% had A1c <6.5% ; 27% 6.5-7.5) and type 2 patients (in 2001 17% had A1c <6.5% ; 23% 6.5-7.5%, in 2003 27% had A1c <6.5% ; 26% 6.5-7.5%)(p<0.01, chi-square test). The improvement of better blood glucose regulation is the result of not only an improved therapy but also planned intervention based on epidemiological data that became accessible at the time regular data collection has started. So far, data are collected from Diabetes centres, i.e. referral insitutions. A broad involvement of primary physicials is planned for 2004. It is expected to add further significance of this software in national diabetes health care.
