Sažetak
Socio-political elites influenced a great deal of 18th century popular cultural imaginings along the Croatian part of the Adriatic and its hinterland by interpreting "great" and "small" wars, raids and brigandage as a part of the heroic épopée of Dalmatia. It is since then that the medium of epic songs has been inseparably connected to popular literature, ecclesiastic press and propedeutic textbooks preserving the semantic register of military virtues, semi-historical images and mythic figures.
