Sažetak
The paper discusses the impossibility to express or categorise multidimensional identities displayed by the descendants of Croatian economic migrants in Germany. Their bifocality, transnational experiences and transnational contexts of their identifications are confronted with the still dominant national categoriyations of identity which require that they declare themselves as either Germans or Croats.
