Sažetak
Results showed that examined women with regular periods had the highest intake of calcium in food with 967. 1 421. 8 mg per day.Although women in reproductive ages were the highest ranked smokers 32.3%, they were also the most physical active ones 33.1%. According to BMD T score equivalent, only 28.1% of women in reproductive ages had the normal test results on spine. In average 56.7% and 56.3% of women vere osteopenic among reproductive and five years in menopause population, respectively. Osteoporosis was diagnosed in 43.8% of older postmenopausal women.Increased NTX serum levels were dependent on hormonal status: 30.8% of women in generative age had elevated values, while in population of postmenopausal women 45.8% of younger and 47.8% of older subjects had elevated NTX in their blood serum. Increased osteoclast induced bone resorption in generative age could be considered as one of the leading causes for early degenerative bone changes onset. In sum, high number of 281 subjects with diagnosed osteopenia yield for urgent health care measures, since these women are at high risk to develop osteoporosis in the near future.
