Sažetak
Cesium affects the release and turnover of some neurotransmitters in the brain. However, despite the hypothesis of the possible involvement of the cholinergic system in the development of depression, no studies of the possible interactin between cesium and the cholinergic system in the brain has been performed yet. We report here that cesium markedly influences the release of acetylcholine from the cerebral cortex of the cat.
