Sažetak
The influence of different sodium concentrations in the contents on the intensity of phosphate absorption was studied by using bags made of surviving mucous membrane of the swine caecum. The epithelial side of the mucous membrane was turned inside the bags. The bags were filled with the solution of sodium monobasic phosphate (NaH_2PO_4) containing 10 mg of phosphorus per 100 mL, or with the same phosphate solution in which by addition of sodium cloride the sodium was adjusted to 102.5, 205 or 1, 025 mg per 100 mL. Tyrode solution was usually placed from the submucosal side of the mucous membrane. The phosphate was absorbed from the contents of swine caecum, and its absorption was affected by the increase of sodium concentration in the bags. The concentration of 102.5 and 205 mg/100 mL of sodium did not significantly influence the phosphorus absorption, whereas an increase of sodium concentration to 1, 025 mg/100 mL considerably enhanced phosphorus absorption.
