Sažetak
The ultrasound nebulizer was used to apply live vaccines against the most important diseases of poultry. Given to newly hatched commercial chickens with high level of maternal antibodies, vaccines against Newcastle disease (strain La Sota), infectious bursal disease (intermediate strain), infectious bronchitis (H 120), Marek’ s disease (strain HVT FC 126) or poxvirus (chicken and pigeon) strains, proved to be safe and produced long lasting immunity. All mentioned vaccines can be combined and mixed together for use, and it is expected to be enough immunogenic for the live long protection of organic or/and free range chickens. Chickens can be given a competitive exclusion product at the same time and the live vaccine against coccidiosis in drinking water at the age up to 10 days. The proposed schedule of treatment against the most important viral, bacterial and parasitic diseases is expected to enable the organic and free range production of chickens without use of any drugs during life time. The possibility of producing a recombinant vaccine based on poxvirus to be applied to newly hatched chickens was discussed.
