Sažetak
CD8 is a heterodimeric membrane glycoprotein on MHC class I restricted lymphocytes that cooperates with TCR in the recognition of MHC class I molecules presenting antigenic peptides. Cooperaton has two components: enhancment of affinity of MHC/TCR interaction, and signal transduction through the T cell membrane. Using pannel of monoclonal antibodies, three to alpha chain and three to beta chain of mouse CD8, we could dfine two epitope clusters on the CD8 molecule. Epitope cluster I seems to be associated with MHC binding and apitope cluster II seems to be involved with interaction of CD8/TCR. Both clusters include epitopes on alpha and beta chain of CD8 molecule.
