Sažetak
Mosaicism of pubertal heart growth pattern was investigated by analysing echocardiographic, ergometric, spirometric and anthropometric changes in 240 healthy children included in a 4-year longitudinal study. The results indicate that heart grows with an initial time latency related to body growth. A disproportion in the growth rate of left and right heart vetricle, as well as in the growth rate of heart "systolic and diastolic" variables was found. Some perspectives for further research are displayed.
