Sažetak
This paper starts from the requirements placed before the macro logistic system. After that follows the analysis of the new traffic politics (for road, rail, naval transportation and inner shipping, as well as for air, and multimode traffic) of the European Union to the year 2010, defined by the so-called White Paper of the European Commission from 12th September 2001. From this politics follow also the requirements put before the Republic of Croatia in relation to its forthcoming admission to the European Union. On the basis of the published works, this paper is aiming at evaluating the present level of development and the needs of further development of the traffic system and of the road infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia (road, rail, sea, river and lake, air, multimode, telecommunication traffic) in its environment in respect of the requirements arising from the said traffic politics of the European Union, as well as in respect of overall economic and wider social goals set before the macro logistic system of a particular country or group of countries (economic group). This paper determines the already undertaken and necessary measures for the formation of the macro logistic system in the Republic of Croatia and their inclusion into international (especially European) logistic systems.
