Sažetak
The article describes sensitivity analysis of the circuit switched WDM network without wavelength conversion and optical cross-connects (passive configuration). The goal was to identify critical components for the network unavailability, and parameters that influence that dependability. The analysis included three levels of communication in the network – unidirectional and bidirectional end-to-end between two line cards, and a complete end-to-end communication between two nodes. No protection and 1+1 protection scenarios have been applied to each case. Results include dependence of the transport entity unavailability on the change of a single component availability, and on the change of the component type availability.
