Sažetak
Determining risk and protective factors has significance for explaining child maltreatment and treatment programs. A study of 48 abusive parents and 353 parents from general population was conducted. They were parents of children between 6 and 12 years of age. The data were collected on 6 factor scales of the Child Abuse Potential Inventory (Milner, 1986)and 13 factors assessing socio-demographic variables and socio-environmental stressors in the family. Discriminant analysis achieved the total correct classificaton rate of 99%. An integrative model of child maltreatment was suggested.
